Springhill Cellars Purchase Policies

Purchase Restrictions

Federal and California state law requires us to request identification from each consumer to prove that you are of age to legally purchase alcohol. To process an order, we need your name, home or other physical address, including street name and name of city or town, email address, telephone number, and date of birth. We do not and will not sell personal information to anyone, for any purpose, under any circumstances.

Due to legal restrictions on shipments of wine and other alcoholic beverages, we are only permitted to ship to the following states: CA, HI, IA, ID, IL, MO, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV and WY. Tax will be charged for the following states: CA-7.75%. We do not ship our wine outside the United States.

All wine orders must be placed by a person 21 years of age or older. Verification of age is required at the time of delivery. We recommend use of a business address to facilitate delivery of your purchase. Wine will not be delivered to a visibly intoxicated person. Failure to produce age verification forfeits the right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances, the order may be held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or it may be shipped back to the winery. All associated costs will be the responsibility of and be charged to the customer.

Payments

Wine will not be shipped until payment has been received. We will contact you via email with the purchase price, plus UPS ground shipping charges, and surcharges, if applicable.

Credit cards: We accept Visa, Mastercard. If you wish to pay with a credit card, you may fax the number, expiration date, and name on the card to Springhill Cellars at 1-541-928-1009. If you prefer, we will contact you by phone for that information.

Checks: Checks must be imprinted with your name and address. Checks should be mailed to Springhill Cellars, 2920 NW Scenic View Drive, Albany, OR 97321.

Shipping

Orders are processed and shipped when we have received payment by phone, fax or mail. We will contact you promptly with the total charges for your order and to arrange payment. All shipments are made on Monday and Tuesday only to prevent your wine from sitting in a storage area over the weekend. All shipments are shipped UPS ground unless other arrangements are made by request, please allow 5-7 business days for normal delivery.

UPS has a surcharge for residential delivery of $1.85 and Adult Signature Required of $3.25 for all wine shipments as well as a fuel surcharge which right now is 3.25% but changes based on the gasoline prices. 

Returns & Exchanges

If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it. To return or exchange an item, please complete the following steps:

1. Please contact us as soon as possible either by phone or email.
2. Clearly explain your dissatisfaction with the wine.
3. If the complaint has to do with freight damage, we will work on your behalf to gain reimbursement from the appropriate freight company.

Note: The credit card used for the original purchase will be credited in the amount of the product sale. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your bill. If you paid by check, a refund check will be issued. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable unless we have sent the wrong item.
