2007 Federweisser Festival

Our 17th Federweisser Festival, held over Thanksgiving weekend, was our most successful ever.

The Federweisser - the still fermenting Riesling - was a huge hit, as was the specially made bratwürst from the Pepper Tree Sausage House in Albany and Zwiebelkuchen, a sweet onion tart, from the Wine Depot (also in Albany). All the Springhill wines sold briskly during the two days of clear and cold weather.

On Saturday evening, Albany's classic rock band "Odd Man Out" shook the rafters as folks hit the dance floor for an old-fashioned barn dance. The hair was flyin' and the dancers generated so much heat we shut off the industrial strength propane heaters! For those listening from outside, standing around the blazing firepit took off the chill.

The Festival also marks the end of our weekend winery hours until the first weekend in May. See you in '08!
