Springhill Cellars is a small family-owned winery producing award-winning Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in the heart of Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley. We also occasionally make a crisp, light and fruity Pinot Noir Rose’, which we call " Sagnee’ . "
The winery was founded in 1988 by Mike and Karen McLain and Karen's father, Merv Anthony. We draw our fruit primarily from the estate vineyard planted from 1978 to 1990 and from McLain Vineyard, our second 12 acres, planted from 1997-2000, in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA.
Winemaker Mike McLain is the founder of McLain & Associates Vineyard Properties, the oldest brokerage firm specializing exclusively in vineyard and winery property in the Willamette Valley.
Springhill Cellars winery is open Saturdays and Sundays, 1-5 p.m., May through November. Our annual Fedeweisser Festival is held every Thanksgiving weekend.
The 2012 Festival will be Friday, November 23 from 12 pm - 10 pm and Saturday, November 24 from 12 pm - 5 pm.
Please note: The barn dance will be Friday evening so it doesn't conflict with the Ducks/Beavers Civil War game in Corvallis on Saturday. We’ve heard a few people are going . . . so come party with us Friday night instead. The Federweisser is currently fermenting to perfection.
The paper collage at left was created for us by artist and neighbor Anna Tewes. Springhill Cellars is proud to display her work on our labels and throughout our site.
